47 dogs and 11 mestizos, rescued from certain death
In just two days, the Benjamin Foundation has rescued 47 dogs Mehnert and 11 mixed in the province of Seville, after several performances in unsanitary settlements as well known as Palmetto, Carmona and another group of dogs that was rescued from the Animal Health Seville.
With the opening of the hunting ban, and as each year hundreds of greyhounds are skeletal and lost by the highways and byways of Andalusia, other "suspended" after being dismissed as "invalid" by the galgueros and hunters, other vagrancy the neck cracked after being maimed in order to extract the microchip.
The big problem is that most of these cases the mistreatment and neglect of these animals go unpunished. One problem rather than eradicated, every day is growing indiscriminately, the lack of awareness and socialization of the vast majority of galgueros and lack of control by the Administration as to review documentation of the animals preserves, the lack of review of settlement, logically without permission or zoological, where, inevitably, the group is more injured animal.
Once rescued and loaded on the truck FBM, these 58 dogs were taken to the Recovery Center Abused Greyhounds that the Foundation has in the province of Seville, where temeroros and scary going through the different departments to FBM after desparasitario give them a bath, go to veterinary surgery which is performed in each of them a thorough review veterinary analytical, to recover and then try to rehabilitate them for their future placement in a family where they give all the love I never had.
