Back in March we introduced you to Mérida a female dog with fear towards people. Upon arrival, we verified that she was infected with filaria and that her right eye was also ulcerated. Our first intention was to remove the affected eye because it created an infection, but we were unable to intervene because of the active infection. In the time that elapsed until the filaria healed and thanks to the different treatments that our hospital colleagues recommended, her eye has healed and the most surprising thing is that she has not lost vision in that eye. What worries us most is that by resolving the filarial infection, the worm created a thrombus in the pulmonary artery, we hope we can also heal this other condition. Would you like to help us recover Mérida?
