DISMISSED BECAUSE OF HER “BAD LEG”
Today, 20 new greyhounds have arrived at our center. All of them, discarded after the end of the hunting season. But Eira, without a doubt, is the worst save of all. She has a huge wound in one of her hind legs, and after the first X-rays, our veterinarians confirm that she has a fracture in the phalanges, crushing of soft tissues, chronic quadriceps contracture (for not using the leg) with loss of muscle mass and osteomylitis (bone infection)
She is already in our hospital receiving her treatment and her first pampering. And now we have a long way to go to try to get her leg back…
