What does being a foster mean?
Many times for the health and wellbeing of the dog to live outside the shelter in a family setting until he or she finds their forever home. This is the case for puppies who cannot be vaccinated immediately, older dogs, very fearful dogs and in some cases dogs with serious injuries or health problems.
In these cases all the vet appointments are done at the clinic at FBM and for this reason those families need to live locally.
The length of fostering is not specific. Sometimes it could be for days or weeks or sometimes even months. This is why it is important to take this decision responsibly and to prevent the puppy from undergoing further changes that cause discomfort.
