Alfred, our “grumpy grandpa,” is actually a very fun and affectionate dog, but the shelter environment doesn’t suit him well.
Here at the shelter, he has become a fearful senior dog who sometimes defends himself with his little teeth. But when he trusts someone, he is simply charming. When the volunteers take him out of the enclosure to spend time with him in the yard, you can see how this little guy blossoms and starts to shine. He also really enjoys walks and, in typical Podenco style, loves to dig and jump after mice.
What this grandpa needs most is a family that can give him peace and quiet so that he can spend his golden years surrounded by love. Would you like to be the one to give him this opportunity? Don’t hesitate to contact us!
