LIFE BEGINS IN A SHELTER…
In terms of rescues, we assume that a job ends when an animal is rescued from the street and taken to a shelter to put it safe, right?
No. Contrary to what most people think, the real work begins when an animal arrives at our center. You have to cure them, rehabilitate them, work on their fears and traumas, and sometimes even socialize with other dogs and people.
Shelby and her brothers were rescued from the street completely unsocialized, and completely rejecting contact with people. Our commitment to them also involves getting them out of that state and socializing them until they become “normal” dogs that can be adopted and adapted to their new families.
Work that requires time, and large doses of patience, and that our colleague Alberto successfully performs 🥰
