As you might know, Octavio arrived last week with chemical abrasions on a large part of the skin, although we do not know how it happened. The daily cures can be tedious at first but little by little it relaxes the itching and tight skin. We use betadine and serum to remove the scabs and later an antibiotic ointment to protect the skin while providing hydration. This week it feels calmer and direct contact with our health staff favors establishing a stronger bond with humans. On the other hand Octavio is a lovely dog and we want to see him cured very soon!
