When we rescued Mercedes 3 days ago we predicted that she would give birth soon and she has just given birth to 8 healthy puppies. The mother’s first cub died in delivery, but the 8 remaining are healthy and hungry. It is wonderful to observe the birth and see how naturally their instincts dictate what to do at all times. We are delighted to see so much tenderness and love in these difficult weeks where the news about the covid 19 pandemic assaults every day.
