We remove a kidney from Ketelo

Ketelo arrived at FBM almost a month ago but soon after he began to show abdominal inflammation. We performed an ultrasound scan that showed an enlarged kidney filled with fluid that we analyzed and discovered a bacterium. After the antibiotic and anti-inflammatory treatment we did not see improvement, so we performed a CT scan in which we saw that his kidney measured 15 cm, so the possible diagnosis could be pyelonephritis or tumor. We have finally removed the abnormal kidney and sent a biopsy to rule out the tumor. For the time been Ketelo looks happy and painless. We will keep you informed.
