Es comprensible que Etelia esté llena de miedo, no confíe en las personas y su nivel de estrés sea demasiado alto en el refugio: ¿cómo se supone que va a calmarse aquí con todo el ruido? Descanso que necesita vitalmente antes de que su alma se dañe aún más. La prueba del gato no puede realizarse en su estado. 

Etelia no necesita compasión, eso no la ayuda. Lo único que ayudará a Etelia es alguien que la guíe con cariño pero con claridad y la saque de su trauma.
