Australia arrived at the Foundation in August 2025 after a call for help. She was dehydrated, very thin, with wounds and unable to support her hind legs properly. From the very first moment we knew she needed intensive care and lots of love.

Veterinary studies revealed that his problem was not a recent injury, but malformations derived from malnutrition and poor development in his childhood. His tibiae, disproportionate to the rest of his bones, cause instability and pain, especially in his right paw, where the tarsal joint is not functional and could require an arthrodesis.

Emotionally, Australia is a very distrustful and fearful dog, the result of a hard past. That is why we are working with patience, giving her space and offering her security so that little by little she starts to trust.
