This beauty is called Sira and we have just welcomed her to FBM. Everytime we saved a dog, we carried out a check over to prove the state of health of the dog and Sira was no exception. This female dog is positive for leishmaniosis and also had profound anemia and inflammation of the extremities due to the loss of albumin. We performed a blood transfusion and started with glucantime to stop the disease and we will continue to carry out reviews to check her improvement. We are sad to see that the lack of information on this disease causes dogs with leishmania to take a long time to be adopted. If you want to have more information about this or any other disease before adopting, you can contact FBM.
