LOS PUNTOS SOBRE LAS IES.

Si eres de los que piensa que ayudar a un animal es exigir a una protectora para que lo recoja y ayude.

Si eres de los que se excusan en que no pueden hacer más.

Si eres de los que incluso los recoges y los traes hasta aquí saltándote todo el protocolo y lista de espera, e incluso amenazando que si no lo aceptamos lo volverás a abandonar en la calle, (mismo modus operandi que los galgueros) déjanos decirte que tu no eres animalista…

Y si encima, eres incapaz de aceptar la crítica de una realidad normalizada y excusarte una y otra vez, no sigas leyendo…

Hace algunos días recibimos más de 200 mensajes para rescatar de las calles a Alai, la perrita que estaba durmiendo en la calle en una zona llena de basura… Gente no solo de Sevilla. Gente de toda España y Europa nos enviaron mensajes para hacernos cargo de ella…

Y estábamos desbordados, pero aún así, nos hicimos cargo de ella.

Déjanos decirte que cuando decimos NO, no es porque no queramos hacernos cargo del animal, es porque tenemos razones suficientes para decir basta.

No tenemos ni una sola subvención y a día de hoy, no tenemos incluso espacio físico en nuestro centro.

El centro es el que es. Las jaulas son las que son, y el aforo por jaula no debe excederse por la seguridad de nuestros perros. Aun así, excedemos el aforo en dos y hasta tres perros de más por jaula, con el único propósito de ayudar a cuantos más, mejor. De salvarlos de una vida miserable. De buscarles y proporcionarles una nueva vida. Viviendo con el miedo de que el nuevo perro que llega, sea aceptado por el grupo y no surjan peleas entre ellos. Peleas, que a veces acaban con la vida de algún galgo. De ese galgo que tu, has traído a nuestro centro sabiendo que estamos desbordados y nos has «obligado» a recoger. Por que si, seamos sinceros, también existe un lado oscuro. Esto también pasa en un refugio. Y es aún más probable que pase cuando nos saltamos estas normas de seguridad por la necesidad y la obligación de ayudar y ayudar, y ayudar…

Y tu sales contento de nuestro centro pensando que has hecho una buena labor por dejar al animal con nosotros. Pero después no eres capaz ni de donar un mísero euro para ayudar tan sólo un poco con los gastos a ese único animal del que se supone que tu te ibas a hacer cargo. Porque claro , somos una protectora, es nuestro deber… ¿no?

Tan solo 4 personas de esas más de 200 que escribieron desesperados para que ayudaramos a Alai han hecho una donación para ayudarnos.

Si esas 200 personas nos hubieran donado tan sólo 1€, tendríamos gran parte de sus gastos iniciales cubiertos…

Pero da igual, de eso ya se encarga la protectora, que para eso está , para ayudar a los animales…Y atrévete a decir que no, que entonces «menuda mierda de protectora»…

Salvar a un animal es un compromiso de todos. Y si todos nos comprometiesemos por igual, todo sería mucho más fácil.

Nosotros tenemos.las herramientas, pero no tenemos todos los medios…

Si no puedes adoptar, acoge.

Si no puedes acoger, apadrina.

Si no puedes apadrinar, hazte voluntario.

Si no puedes ser voluntario, dona.

Si no puedes donar, difunde.

A few days ago we received more than 200 messages to rescue Alai from the streets, the dog that was sleeping on the street in an area full of rubbish… People not only from Seville. People from all over Spain and Europe sent us messages to take care of her…

And we were overwhelmed by her, but still, we took care of her.

Let us tell you that when we say NO, it is not because we do not want to take care of the animal, it is because we have enough reasons to say enough.

We do not have a single subsidy and today, we do not even have physical space in our center.

The center is what it is. The cages are what they are, and the capacity per cage should not be exceeded for the safety of our dogs. Even so, we exceed the capacity by two and up to three more dogs per cage, with the sole purpose of helping as many as possible. To save them from a miserable life. To find them and provide them with a new life. Living in fear that the new dog that arrives will be accepted by the group and fights will not arise between them. Fights, which sometimes end with the life of a greyhound. From that greyhound that you have brought to our center knowing that we are overwhelmed and you have «forced» us to pick up. Because yes, let’s be honest, there is also a dark side. This also happens in a shelter. And it’s even more likely to happen when we break these safety rules out of necessity and obligation to help and help and help…

And you leave our center happy thinking that you have done a good job by leaving the animal with us. But then you are not even able to donate a measly euro to help just a little with the expenses of that one animal that you were supposed to take care of. Because of course, we are a protector, it is our duty… right?

Only 4 people of those more than 200 who wrote desperately for us to help Alai have made a donation to help us.

If those 200 people had donated just €1 to us, we would have covered a large part of their initial expenses…

But it doesn’t matter, that’s what the protector is already in charge of, that’s what it’s for, to help the animals… And dare to say no, then «what a piece of shit for a protector»…

Saving an animal is everyone’s commitment. And if we all committed ourselves equally, everything would be much easier.

We have the tools, but we don’t have all the means…
